Staycations- Being In Your City Minus The Noise!

Staycation at the St. Regis Hotel!

Sometimes no matter how much you may love your city, every city girl comes to the conclusion that she needs to escape the noise. As much as we may like the everyday hustle and bustle that comes with living in a metropolitan city, some of the time, we need a break from it. I have always said that the relationship you have with yourself is the most important one of all. And, that means ensuring that you are getting time with yourself. That being said, when my birthday came around this year not only did I need a getaway, but I also wanted to spend it with the people I love. Hence, I opted to spend the weekend at the luxurious St. Regis Hotel.

The second I entered my room I had an immediate feeling that my needs were going to be met effortlessly. It obviously helped that my room was posh, classy and super comfortable. The interiors of the room are absolutely stunning. I was appointed my own butler who was simply a phone call away to help me with any of my queries. Their double beds are truly sent from heaven. As you lay down you sink in to a world of coziness that truly relaxes your every muscle. I spent Friday night by going out with my friends in the city and Saturday night a at dinner organised by the hotel for me. My personal favourite part about the room was their impeccable lighting in the bathroom. No matter how lavish a hotel can be, somehow, they seem to forget about bright lighting which women need desperately, to do their make up. Their bathrooms must be specifically designed for women as the lighting is absolute perfection.

The next night I dined at By The Mekong. This is one of the hotel’s finest restaurants. The food was so incredible that it could give the word scrumptious, a whole new meaning. Their chicken with hot basil was absolutely divine and tender. Their various dumplings were sensational and melted in your mouth in seconds. Known for their fantastic pork belly, By The Mekong, truly ensured that my birthday cravings were met with ease.

The much needed quite and down time that my heart and mind desired was achieved successfully by one weekend spent at the St Regis Hotel. This included fantastic service, incredible food and an absolutely grand and cozy room. The hotel also has a lovely spa , a magnificent pool and a few exciting bars that ensures when you stay with them, you have no reason to leave the hotel. Let’s also not forget the part that it is practically connected to Palladium Mall.

At the end of the day if you can unwind in a luxurious room and be surrounded with extravagant options of things to do, well…

what else can a city girl really ask for?
